2024 Presidential Primaries, Caucuses, and Conventions
The delegate selection processes herein, along with any and all dates and delegate counts associated therewith, are unofficial and based on either (1) information obtained from either Major Party, (2) Presidential Primary dates established by currently-effective State statute, or- where the foregoing information could not be obtained- (3) the state's 2020 delegate selection process and associated dates adjusted to the corresponding dates in 2024 and labeled "(presumably)" or "Circa".

State Convention: Circa May 2024 (date not set)
Delegate Binding: Winner-Take-All (district and statewide) Primary. Voter Eligibility: Open Primary.

12 December 2023: The Party must submit in writing to the Wisconsin Elections Commission the party's desire to be on the Presidential Primary ballot.
2 January 2024: The Wisconsin Elections Commission and party leaders certify all viable names (individuals whose candidacy is recognized throughout the United States) to appear on the Presidential Primary ballot.
2 to 30 January 2024: Presidential candidate petition filing (for candidates not recognized as "viable").
Wisconsin does not have voter registration by party. Voters can register to vote at the polls on election day. Voters may request the ballot of any party but for one party only.
"Uncommitted" appears on the ballot under the choice labeled "Uninstructed Delegation". Write-in candidates are allowed.
Tuesday 2 April 2024 (presumably): Wisconsin Primary. Hours reportedly 7:00a-8:00p CDT (1200-0100 UTC). Delegate Binding: Winner-Take-All (district and statewide) Primary. Voter Eligibility: Open Primary.
All 41 of Wisconsin's delegates to the Republican National Convention are allocated to presidential contenders in today's Wisconsin Presidential Primary.
Prior to the Presidential Primary ... each District Chairman, in consultation with his or her District Executive Committee shall establish a list of ... District delegates ... to the national convention and shall submit that list to the Republican Party of Wisconsin. Within 7 days of the Presidential Primary, the committee of the candidate winning a plurality of the vote in each Congressional District shall notify the Republican Party of Wisconsin which 3 from each District list they wish to designate as delegates ... [Republican Party of Wisconsin Constitution Article X Section 5.]
At-Large delegates ... shall be selected by the committee of the candidate receiving a plurality of the statewide votes ... and ... said delegates ... shall be ratified by the State Executive Committee. It shall be understood that the candidate’s committee shall have final approval ... [Republican Party of Wisconsin Constitution Article X Section 5.]
A candidate ... is entitled to control all the delegates ... on all votes for nomination for President of the United States and Vice-President of the United States, unless the delegates ... are released by the candidate or the candidate fails to receive at least 1/3 of the total votes cast in any vote for nomination. [Article X Sections 4. and 5.]
Circa April 2024 (date not set): District Caucuses. National Convention District Delegates are selected according to the results of the primary.
Circa May 2024 (date not set): State Convention. The statewide delegates are selected by the candidate receiving a plurality of the statewide votes and ratified by the State Executive Committee.
Primary dates marked "presumably" and polling times marked "reportedly" are based on unofficial or estimated data (especially as regards local variations from a jurisdictionwide statutory and/or regulatory standard) and are, thereby, subject to change.
