2024 Presidential Primaries, Caucuses, and Conventions
The delegate selection processes herein, along with any and all dates and delegate counts associated therewith, are unofficial and based on either (1) information obtained from either Major Party, (2) Presidential Primary dates established by currently-effective State statute, or- where the foregoing information could not be obtained- (3) the state's 2020 delegate selection process and associated dates adjusted to the corresponding dates in 2024 and labeled "(presumably)" or "Circa".
Presidential Nominating Process
Deadline for political parties to certify participation in primary: Monday 4 December 2023
Candidate filing deadline: Friday 2 February 2024
Primary: Tuesday 2 April 2024
State Convention: Circa April 2024 (date not set)

Rules of the Republican Party of the State of Delaware from the Republican State Committee of Delaware.
Presidential Primary from the Commissioner of Elections for the State of Delaware.
Participation in Delaware's delegate selection process is open to all voters who are registered to vote as Republicans.
"Pursuant to Delaware State Law, if the Delaware Democratic Party submits the name of only one Presidential Candidate, and no other candidates file for the ballot, the state run Presidential Primary shall be cancelled. Write-in candidates are not permitted.
All 16 of Delaware's delegates to the Republican National Convention are allocated to the presidential contender receiving the greatest number of votes statewide in today's Delaware Presidential Primary. [Rules of the Republican Party of the State Of Delaware. Article XI. Section 3.]
The 3 party leaders delegates (the National Committeeman, the National Committeewoman, and the chairman of the Delaware's Republican Party) will attend the National Convention, by virtue of their position, bound to the presidential contender receiving the greatest number of votes in the Presidential primary.
All Delegates are bound to vote for the winner of the primary on the 1st ballot. If the winning candidate withdraws, dies, or otherwise releases his or her delegates or there are subsequent ballots, then each delegate may vote for any other presidential candidate. [Rules of the Republican Party of the State Of Delaware. Article XI. Section 3.]
Circa April 2024 (date not set): Delaware State Convention. The State Convention elects the National Convention delegates according to the results of the primary.
Primary dates marked "presumably" and polling times marked "reportedly" are based on unofficial or estimated data (especially as regards local variations from a jurisdictionwide statutory and/or regulatory standard) and are, thereby, subject to change.
