The delegate selection processes herein, along with any and all dates and delegate counts associated therewith, are unofficial and based on either (1) information obtained from either Major Party, (2) Presidential Primary dates established by currently-effective State statute, or- where the foregoing information could not be obtained- (3) the state's 2020 delegate selection process and associated dates adjusted to the corresponding dates in 2024 and labeled "(presumably)" or "Circa".

This Presidential Primary coincides with a state/local primary. These coinciding primaries tend to have an impact upon voter turnout.
There is no party registration in Vermont. After marking their ballot, a voter presents the ballot to election clerks, publicly declaring the party they are submitting. This declaration becomes part of the public record.
Tuesday 5 March 2024 (presumably): Vermont Primary. Hours 5:00a-7:00p EST (1000-0000 UTC). Polls may open as early as 5:00a and no later than 10:00a as set by the Board of Civil Authority. Delegate Binding: Winner-Take-Most Primary. Voter Eligibility: Open Primary.
All 17 of Vermont's delegates to the Republican National Convention are bound to presidential contenders in today's Presidential Primary. [Rules of the Vermont Republican State Committee, Rule 12. i.]
Delegates ... to the Republican National Convention shall be bound in the first ballot .... Delegates ... shall be released if their candidate is not placed into nomination ... suspends his or her campaign, or withdraws. [Rules of the Vermont Republican State Committee. Rule 12. i.]
Circa April 2024 (date not set): Republican Town Caucuses meet for the purpose of electing delegates to the State Presidential Nominating Convention. [Rules of the Vermont Republican State Committee, Rule 11.d.]
Circa May 2024 (date not set): State Convention. National Convention Delegates are are elected according to the results of the primary. [17 VSA Section 2715]
