2024 Presidential Primaries, Caucuses, and Conventions
The delegate selection processes herein, along with any and all dates and delegate counts associated therewith, are unofficial and based on either (1) information obtained from either Major Party, (2) Presidential Primary dates established by currently-effective State statute, or- where the foregoing information could not be obtained- (3) the state's 2020 delegate selection process and associated dates adjusted to the corresponding dates in 2024.

District Caucuses: Monday 1 January - Friday 1 March 2024 (presumably)
State Convention (cancelled -- issues addressed by mail ballots): Friday 29 March - Sunday 31 March 2024 (presumably)
Delegate Binding: Delegate Selection Caucus/Convention. Voter Eligibility: Closed Caucus/Convention.
29 total delegates - 10 base at-large / 3 re: 1 congressional district / 3 party / 13 bonus

Monday 1 January - Friday 1 March 2024 (presumably): The North Dakota Republican Party conducts caucuses in Legislative Districts to elect delegates to the State Convention. There is no Presidential preference vote.
Friday 29 March - Sunday 31 March 2024 (presumably): The North Dakota State Republican Convention convenes. Delegate Binding: Delegate Selection Caucus/Convention. Voter Eligibility: Closed Caucus/Convention. In 2016, the party did not have any type of Presidential caucus or straw poll.
Three party leaders, the National Committeeman, the National Committeewoman, and the chairman of the North Dakota's Republican Party, will attend the convention by virtue of their position.
North Dakota's delegates ... shall caucus ... to discuss voluntarily apportioning delegate representation on the first ballot ... However, any such apportionment on the first ballot shall be strictly voluntary. The delegates remain free to vote their conscience on all balloting.
