2024 Presidential Primaries, Caucuses, and Conventions
The delegate selection processes herein, along with any and all dates and delegate counts associated therewith, are unofficial and based on either (1) information obtained from either Major Party, (2) Presidential Primary dates established by currently-effective State statute, or- where the foregoing information could not be obtained- (3) the state's 2020 delegate selection process and associated dates adjusted to the corresponding dates in 2024.

Post Primary Congressional Caucus: Thursday 25 April 2024 (presumably)
State Central Committee: Saturday 11 May 2024 (presumably)
Delegate Pledging: Proportional Primary. Voter Eligibility: Modified Primary.

Louisiana registers voters by party. Democrats and registered voters who are NOT registered with the Green, Libertarian, Reform, or Republican Party are eligible to vote in the Presidential Primary. Write-in candidates and Uncommitted are not allowed.
Saturday 23 March 2024: Louisiana Primary. Hours reportedly 7:00a-8:00p CDT (1200-0100 UTC). Delegate Pledging: Proportional Primary. Voter Eligibility: Modified Primary.
48 of 56 delegates to the Democratic National Convention are allocated to presidential contenders based on the results of the voting in today's Louisiana Presidential Primary. A mandatory 15 percent threshold is required in order for a presidential contender to be allocated National Convention delegates at either the congressional district or statewide level. Thursday 25 April 2024 (presumably) Post-primary Congressional District Caucuses. The 32 District-level delegates are elected, according to the results of the primary.
Saturday 11 May 2024 (presumably): Democratic State Central Committee. 6 National Convention Pledged PLEO and 10 At-Large delegates are elected according to the results of the primary.
