This Presidential Primary coincides with a state/local primary. These coinciding primaries tend to have an impact upon voter turnout.
Participation in New Mexico's delegate selection process is open to all voters registered as Democrats.
34 of 46 delegates to the Democratic National Convention are pledged to presidential contenders based on the results of the voting in today's New Mexico Primary. A mandatory 15 percent threshold is required in order for a presidential contender to be allocated National Convention delegates at either the congressional district or statewide level. Friday 19 June - Saturday 20 June 2020: State Post-Primary Convention.
State Post-Primary Convention elects National Convention Pledged PLEO and At-large delegates according to the statewide results of the Presidential Primary.
