2024 National Convention Delegate Selection

  • Circa 11 June 2023, the Michigan Republican Party passed a resolution of intent for their 2024 Delegate Selection Plan. 10 at-large delegates would be allocated at the 27 February 2024 winner-take-all state run primary; 39 Congressional District delegates, 3 from each district, would be allocated in each of the 13 winner-take-all congressional district caucuses on 2 March 2024; and the 3 automatic RNC delegates would be allocated to the candidate who receives the greatest number of District delegates statewide. Concerns: (1) The 27 February primary is before the 1 March date allowed for Michigan, and (2) RNC rules prohibit the holding multiple delegate allocation votes.

2024 National Convention Delegate Selection

  • Idaho Democratic
  • Idaho Republican
  • On 30 March 2023, H 138 was signed into law by Governor Brad Little (Republican). HB 138 was thought to consolidate the presidential primary with the state Primary so that all primary elections would held on the 3rd Tuesday in May ... but it does not specifically add a Presidential Primary to the state primary on the 3rd Tuesday in May so it effectively eliminates the Presidential Primary. [Idaho Statutes Title 34 Chapter 1. 34-102]. Circa 19 April 2023, the state legislature adjourned without restoring the Idaho presidential primary.
