If no candidate receives at least 50% of the vote in the primary, a runoff will be held between the top two vote-getters. Nominations that are uncontested do not appear on the primary ballot. Note: Phenix City (Russell County), Valley, and Lanett (Chambers County) and the area witin a 10-15 mile radius (Lee County) of the state border observe Eastern time, even though they are officially in the Central time zone.
