27 May 2008 Primary returns from an official source. IDAHO Democratic County CAUCUSESTuesday 5 February 2008The County Caucuses chooses the county's delegates to the Idaho State Convention. Such delegates to the State Convention are allocated to presidential contenders in proportion to the percentage of the support each candidate has received at the County Caucus- a mandatory 15 percent threshold being required for such allocation. (NOTE: It is the State Convention that actually pledges Democratic National Convention delegates; a few weeks prior to this Convention- on Tuesday 27 May- there will be an Advisory PRESIDENTIAL PRIMARY but the presidential preferences of the State Convention delegates will have already been determined by the earlier County Caucuses). Thursday 12 June - Saturday 14 June 2008 : The Idaho State Democratic Convention meets. 6 of 23 delegates to the Democratic National Convention are allocated to presidential contenders in proportion to the percentage of the support each candidate receives at the State Convention. A mandatory 15 percent threshold is required in order for a presidential contender to be allocated National Convention delegates at the statewide level.
