 19 October 2022: Auditor Kathleen K. "Kathy" McGuiness (Democratic), who was first elected in 2018, resigned. Auditor McGuiness had been convicted of misdemeanor official misconduct and conflict of interest. She had previously lost the 13 September 2022 Primary.
27 October 2022: Governor John Charles Carney, Jr. (Democratic) appointed Dennis Greenhouse (Democratic) to fill the remainder of the term which expires in January 2023. Mr. Greenhouse previously served as Auditor in 1982.
