The Green Papers: General Election 2000

Copyright www.flags.net/UNST.htm 2000 Presidential Candidates
Long Form

This is a list of candidates and their state ballot access status. Write-in candidates, that is, those whose name does not appear on the printed ballot, are so noted. Democratic candidate Al Gore and Republican candidate George W. Bush are on the ballot in all 50 states and the District of Columbia. These are the only two candidates to obtain ballot access in all 51 jurisdictions.

Five other candidates (Harry Browne, Pat Buchanan, John Hagelin, Ralph Nader, and Howard Phillips) have obtained ballot access in enough states to theoretically win the Presidency with 270 electoral votes.
