Tuesday 10 February 2004: Republican Party Caucuses meet in each precinct. Each Precinct Caucus chooses the precinct's delegates to the County Conventions.

• "There is no formal system applied in the Precinct Caucuses to relate the presidential preference of the Caucus participants to the choice of the precinct's delegates to the County Convention of the county in which the precinct is located. The participants at each Precinct Caucus alone determine if presidential preference is to be a factor in such choice and, if so, how it is to be applied."

Friday 12 March - Friday 26 March 2004: Republican Party County Conventions convene in each county. Each County Convention chooses delegates to the Nevada State Republican Convention.

• "County Conventions choose the county's delegates to the Nevada State Republican Convention. Again, there is no formal system applied in the County Convention to relate the presidential preference of the Convention's delegates to the choice of the county's delegates to the Nevada State Republican Convention. The delegates in attendance at each County Convention alone determine if presidential preference is to be a factor and, if so, how it is to be applied."

Thursday 29 April - Saturday 1 May 2004: The Nevada State Republican Convention convenes. The State Convention chooses all 33 delegates from Nevada to the Republican National Convention. There is no formal system of allocating Nevada's National Convention delegates to presidential contenders.

• Congressional District Caucuses, consisting of the State Convention delegates from each of Nevada's 3 congressional districts meet at the State Convention to choose the 3 National Convention delegates assigned to each congressional district. A total of 9 delegates are elected.
• The State Convention meets as a whole to choose the 21 at-large (10 base at-large plus 11 bonus delegates) delegates from Nevada to the Republican National Convention.

In addition, 3 party leaders, the National Committeeman, the National Committeewoman, and the chairman of the Nevada's Republican Party, will attend the convention as unpledged delegates by virtue of their position.
