President George Bush is the only Republican candidate to file for the Presidential Primary. Bush, the only candidate to file, will receive all 43 delegates.

Tuesday 18 May 2004: 43 of 46 of Kentucky's delegates to the Republican National Convention are allocated to presidential contenders based on the results of the voting in today's Kentucky Presidential Primary.

43 delegates to the National Convention are to be allocated to presidential contenders based on the primary vote statewide. A 15% threshold is required in order for a presidential contender to be allocated National Convention delegates at the statewide level. Delegates to the national convention are bound for the first ballot.

In addition, 3 party leaders, the National Committeeman, the National Committeewoman, and the chairman of the Kentucky's Republican Party, will attend the convention as unpledged delegates by virtue of their position.
