10 February 2004 update: The slate of 16 Bush delegates, the only slate on the ballot, was elected. We have assumed that the 3 RNC delegates, while officially "uncommitted", will support Bush.

11 January 2004 update: A slate of 16 Delegates committed to President George W. Bush have been certified to appear on the Caucus ballot. (Under Republican Party rules, the DC Republican Chairman, and both the DC National Committeeman and Committeewoman are automatic delegates to the Convention, giving DC 3 additional Delegates.) No other slate of declared Presidential candidates sought to appear on the ballot. The names of the Bush slate is available on the DCRC website at: http://dcgop.com/caucus.html

Tuesday 10 February 2004: 16 of the District of Columbia's delegates to the Republican National Convention are allocated to a presidential contender in today's District of Columbia Presidential Preference Caucus.

  • 16 National Convention delegates are to be allocated to the presidential contender receiving the greatest number of votes in the caucus.

In addition, 3 party leaders, the National Committeeman and the National Committeewoman (selected during the caucus) along with the chairman of the District of Columbia's Republican Party, will attend the convention as unpledged delegates.
