Libertarian Party 2004 Delegate Allocation Details

The calculation used to determine number of delegates allocated to each state's Libertarian Party delegation is as follows:

  • One delegate for each 0.1% of the total party membership in that state. Round any fractions to the next largest whole number.
    [Column A = (state members ÷ nationwide members) ÷ 0.001, rounded up]
  • One delegate for each 0.25% of the votes cast nationwide for the 2000 Libertarian Party's National Presidential nominee. Round any fractions to the next largest whole number.
    [Column B = (state vote ÷ nationwide vote) ÷ 0.0025, rounded up]

Total the delegates from the two criteria to determine the number of delegates the state will send to the Libertarian Party Convention.
