Tuesday 5 February 2008: 87 of 101 of New York's delegates to the Republican National Convention (3 from each of the state's 29 Congressional District) are allocated to presidential contenders in today's New York Presidential Primary. [NYS Republican Party Rule Art. XI Rule 1]

  • 87 delegates are to be allocated to the presidential contender receiving the greatest number of votes in the primary statewide.
 

Tuesday 20 May - Wednesday 21 May 2008 (tentative date): The New York Republican State Committee will meet and choose 11 at-large delegates.

  • "New York's 11 at-large delegates chosen by the State's Republican State Committee will go to the Republican National Convention officially 'Unpledged'."

In addition, 3 party leaders, the National Committeeman, the National Committeewoman, and the chairman of the New York's Republican Party, will attend the convention as unpledged delegates by virtue of their position.
