8 March 2008: Media coverage of the Guam Convention - Local republicans hold GOP State Convention. "As the Republican presumptive nominee for president ... McCain also now has the support of the Guam GOP, who officially announced they were backing him at today's convention."

9 March 2008: Media coverage of the Guam Convention - Guam Republicans choose RNC delegation ... over 500 delegates attended the Republican Party of Guam State Convention... New party officers were also elected ... Jess Torres as chairman, Faye Ovalles as first vice-chair, Joseph Cabana as treasurer, and Peter Alexcis Ada as national committeeman ....


   

Saturday 8 March 2008: A Territorial Caucus convenes as a Convention to choose 6 delegates to the Republican National Convention.

  • "The delegates from Guam are chosen in such a way so that they best reflect the presidential preference of the Caucus/Convention participants."

In addition, 3 party leaders, the National Committeeman, the National Committeewoman, and the chairman of the Guam's Republican Party, will attend the convention as unpledged delegates by virtue of their position.


The Convention is set to be held at (TBD). About 510 delegates are expected to attend.
