On 18 September, The Texas Supreme Court asked the Texas Secretary of State, the Democratic Party, and the Republican Party to respond to a suit filed by Libertarian Presidential Nominee Bob Barr. Congressman Barr is suing to remove the Republican and Democratic nominees from the November ballot because the major parties failed to file before the general election deadline.
