VIRGINIA Election Returns from an official source

Virginia law gives political parties the authority to determine how it will nominate its candidates.

On Tuesday 8 June 2004, primaries will be held for the Democratic Party for U. S. House of Representatives in the 2nd, 3rd, 8th and 11th congressional districts and by the Republican Party in the 1st, 2nd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, 10th and 11th congressional districts for U. S. House of Representatives.

Nominations made by a method other than a primary must take place no earlier than May 7, 2004 and must be completed by 7:00 p.m. on June 8, 2004.
