She served 12 terms in the House of Representatives. She served 12 terms in the House of Representatives. Having received her party's nomination in the 21 September 2002 Primary, her name remains on the ballot. Since won the 5 November election, a 4 January 2003 special election will be called by Hawaii's Governor to fill her vacant seat in the 108th Congress. A special election has already been called to fill her unexpired term (ending January 2003) in the 107th Congress. |
