Ohio Governor Ted Strickland called a special 18 November 2008 Election to fill the 11th Congressional District seat vacated upon the death of Congressman Stephanie Tubbs Jones. If more than one candidate from each party files for the seat (9 Democrats filed), a primary election will be held 14 October. The winner of the special election will finish out Congressman Tubbs Jones' term which ends in January.

This site is dedicated to the dissemination of facts, figures, tidbits and commentary- in fact, information of many different kinds- on the election campaigns leading ultimately to the General Election on Tuesday 4 November 2008 in which, for the 56th time, a President and Vice-President of the United States will be elected, 1/3 of the United States Senate and the entire House of Representatives of the 111th Congress will also be chosen and, in addition, some States of the Union will elect their Governors and other Statewide officers. We sincerely hope you very easily find the kind of information you are looking for here, perhaps even information- all gathered here in one place- you might not so easily find anywhere else.
