Polling hours 5:00a EST (1000 UTC) to 7:00p EST (0000 UTC). Polls may open as early as 5:00a and no later than 10:00a as set by the Board of Civil Authority.

Voter Affiliation: Voter registration does not include party affiliation
27 total delegate votes - 12 district / 4 at large; 2 Pledged PLEOs; 9 Unpledged PLEOs
The delegate selection processes herein was updated 6 May 2011 per the Draft 2012 Delegate Selection Plan as of 4 May 2011.
Participation in Vermont's delegate selection process is open to all voters who wish to participate as Democrats. There is no party registration in Vermont.
Tuesday 6 March 2012: 18 of 27 delegates to the Democratic National Convention are pledged to presidential contenders based on the results of the voting in today's Vermont Presidential Primary. A mandatory 15 percent threshold is required in order for a presidential contender to be pledged National Convention delegates at either the congressional district or statewide level.
Here's how we compute the delegate count:
Saturday 24 March 2012: Post-Primary Town Caucuses elect delegates to State Convention.
Saturday 26 May 2012. State Convention.
National Convention District delegates are elected by Presidential preference according to the results of the primary.
Saturday 9 June 2012: National Convention Delegate Meeting
National Convention Pledged PLEO and At-Large delegates are elected, by a quorum of National Convention district-level delegates, according to the results of the primary.
