No November 2000 Ballot Access for the Reform Party of Texas
Tuesday, June 6, 2000

The Reform Party of Texas had 20 local and statewide candidates seeking public office for the 2000 Election cycle.

In order to be recognized for ballot access, Texas Election code required the Reform Party to collect 37,381 petition signatures from unaffiliated voters. The time frame was 75 days beginning March 15, 2000.

The Reform Party was unable to reach that threshold and and therefore will not have access to the November 2000 ballot.

The lone exception is Michael Mauzy, whose County RP chapter pursued the petition process apart from RP's State Organization, and he will be on the ballot for Tax Assessor-Collector in Hill County.
