Arizona's Democrats got Internet balloting for its 11 March
primary (still being billed as the "world's first binding vote via the
Internet") approved by the U.S. Justice Department today [25 February 2000] but the Attorney General, Janet Reno, indicated that the voting will be watched very closely by her department... however, there is still an ongoing lawsuit at the state level re: possible discrimination, as the argument against Internet voting relates to minorities having fewer computers per capita than whites. |
