Connecticut 2016 Presidential Primaries, Caucuses, and Conventions:

Conventions are held circa May 2014 by the Democratic and Republican Parties prior to the primary. Primaries are held for when a nomination is contested. Candidates must receive 15% or more support at the Convention or gather petition signatures to get onto the primary ballot.

For the U.S. Congress, the Democratic Party convention is on 14 May 2014 and the Republican Party convention is on 16 May 2014.
