It was thought that- based on statements by an aide last week- the Congressman might be back in his District for the first time in some two months sometime later this week; the Congressman's staff has not publicly commented on the Mayo Clinic's announcement. 7 September 2012: Media reports state that Congressman Jackson has left the Mayo Clinic and is back home. 21 November 2012: Resigned stating "...
